Registering for Donor Card: If personal information is submitted while registering for donor card, such information may be used as follows-
- Information submitted by visitors wishing to be organ, tissue or eye donors will be added to the Jeevandan…Life Ahead Donor Registry. The appropriate information will be utilized for sending a donor card to the registrant and also an automatically generated e-mail will be sent to the emergency contact person (as provided by the registrant) to inform the wish of the registrant.
- Information submitted by visitors may be stored and analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of the efforts made by us to increase the number of organ, tissue and eye donors as permitted by Indian law. Information submitted may also be used to contact individuals and/or their next-of-kin for organ donation purposes as allowed by Indian law.
Apart from collecting information while registering for donor card the other purposes for collecting personal details is while taking an online survey; while registering to be a member; while signing up for the newsletter and the ‘life pass it on’ booklet; and while you write your feedback.
The information that you provide is used for internal record keeping; to analyses and to improve our efforts in the field; also we might send out e-mails about our events/activities or other information related to organ donation and transplantation that we think you might be interested in; and we will see if you are eligible to have access to some of the resources on our website.
Jeevandan…Life Ahead will not sell, rent or market personal information to third parties. All information submitted by you will be kept confidential at all times, except to the extent necessary for organ, tissue and eye donations to be achieved in accordance with Indian law.
